HOW HI-LINE MERCHANDISING OPTIMIZED ON-SITE SALES AND WAREHOUSE PRODUCTIVITY
CHALLENGE: Hi-Line Merchandising is an end-to-end merchandising solution and ecommerce platform for turning attendees into customers for live and digital entertainment events. They found that long merch lines and foot traffic between events interfered with the attendee experience and the company’s profitability. Hi-Line brought in BBM to see how they could optimize the audience experience and increase revenue. SOLUTION: Building Blocks Management analyzed Hi-Line’s concerns and provided all logistics for delivery of onsite event merchandise, built sales displays, inventoried all merchandise and input it into the POS system. BBM also hired, trained and managed all 30 staff. Everyone was introduced to the venue’s POS system and practiced how to upsell high ticket items to increase revenue. Then, BBM shared a promotion with customers who waited in merch lines. This reduced lines and spiked online sales. As a result, this event made almost a million dollars in merchandise sales over four days.
Additionally, Building Blocks Management brought in a warehouse production team and streamlined Hi-Line’s fulfillment center operations. These optimized SOP’s ended up increasing production by 75% and their on-site team of 5 went from completing 65 online orders a day to 400!
